The Northern Connecticut Radio Control Club (NCRCC) offers several types of membership:
· Open Membership – for those who are 16 or more years of age as of January 1 and seeking full flying privileges. Open Membership also requires that you prove that you have a current membership in good standing with the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA).
· Junior Membership – for those under 16 years of age as of January 1. Junior Membership requires that you prove that you have a current membership in good standing with the AMA if you are also seeking flying privileges.
· Social Membership – for those of any age seeking to simply enjoy the comradery of belonging to NCRCC but not having flying privileges. Non-flying Social Members are not required to be members of the AMA.
· Family Membership – for those who share a household with an Open Member as of January 1. For those Family Members that are also seeking flying privileges, you are required to prove that you have a current membership in good standing with the AMA. Family Membership includes one Open Membership plus up to three Family Members.

Application Process for New Membership
Application for new membership in NCRCC should be made in person at a general membership meeting. Click here to learn when/where the next NCRCC general membership meeting will take place. You may click on the ‘download’ link at the bottom of the ‘Important Information’ section below for the NCRCC Membership Application form so that you can print it, fill it out, and bring it to the meeting for submission or you can request a paper version of the application form at a meeting.
To print the NCRCC Membership Application form from the NCRCC website click on the ‘download’ link at the bottom of the ‘Important Information’ section below. Once you download it, simply click on your computer’s ‘print’ icon.
Please do not use the Online NCRCC Membership Application below as that capability is exclusively reserved for renewing members only.
If you also need to obtain membership in the AMA, you may click here for a fillable online AMA membership application. Flying privileges at the NCRCC flying field are contingent upon you proving that you have an AMA membership that is current and in good standing.
As an applicant, you must attend at least two NCRCC meetings. During the first meeting you attend, you will be asked to identify yourself and provide the members with a brief description about your aeromodelling experience and interests.
Acceptance for NCRCC membership is contingent upon a favorable simple majority vote by the club members on or after the second general membership meeting attended following the submission of an applicant’s complete membership application. Once approved for NCRCC membership, you will be given a membership badge which you must wear when you are at the NCRCC flying field.
NCRCC, in its sole absolute discretion, has the right to refuse membership to any person for any reason.

Application Process for Renewal of Membership
Application for renewal of membership can be made by US Mail, or in person at a general membership meeting, or by using an electronic submission process. Existing members may either click on the ‘download’ link at the bottom of the ‘Important Information’ section below to print a copy of the NCRCC Membership Application form, fill it out, and submit it with your payment in person or via US Mail or submit your renewal application electronically using the special Online NCRCC Membership Application form below. When you submit your renewal of membership electronically, you must also simultaneously pay your dues via credit card or from your personal PayPal account (see below for added information).
To print the NCRCC Membership Application form from the NCRCC website, click on the ‘download’ link at the bottom of the ‘Important Information’ section below. Once you download it simply click on your computer’s ‘print’ icon.

If you choose to electronically submit your renewal application using the special Online NCRCC Membership Application form below, please follow the special instructions below.
In accordance with the club by-laws, dues must be paid by the second Friday of January to maintain membership in NCRCC. There shall be no membership status for persons in arrears after the January monthly meeting. Reinstatement requires payment of the full initiation fee with the membership application.

Fees
Fees for the type of membership you select are specified on the NCRCC membership application form.
For new membership applicants, the balance of the current fiscal year’s dues are payable upon acceptance for new membership along with an initiation fee which is payable with the application. Please check with the NCRCC Vice President to confirm the dollar amount of the balance of the current fiscal year’s dues by either speaking during a meeting, or at the flying field, or you may send the Vice President an email by clicking here.
For Junior Members, no initiation fee is required.
There is no initiation fee for existing NCRCC members who are timely in renewing their membership. However, late renewals will be assessed an initiation fee. A late renewal is one that is received after the January meeting.
The aforementioned fees are not refundable.
Fees may be paid by check (made payable to ‘NCRCC’), or by cash if paid during a meeting, or by credit card. (Credit card payments are limited to renewal of membership only).
When using a credit card or your personal PayPal account, a small additional convenience fee is added. To pay your membership renewal fees using your credit card, once you complete the Online NCRCC Membership Application form below and click on the ‘submit’ button, it will ask you to select the type of membership you are requesting and then automatically bring you to the NCRCC PayPal business account so you can pay your membership renewal dues immediately. Once you access the NCRCC PayPal business account, simply follow the prompts.
