The Northern Connecticut Radio Control Club (NCRCC) is proudly associated with the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA). Our AMA club charter number is #188.

The AMA is the official national body for model aviation in the United States. It is the world’s largest model aviation association, representing a membership of nearly 200,000 from every walk of life, income level, and age group. It is a self-supporting, non-profit organization whose purpose is to promote development of model aviation as a recognized sport and worthwhile recreation activity.

The AMA is open to anyone interested in model aviation. AMA membership is required to fly at the NCRCC flying field in Ellington, CT. To learn more about the AMA, click here.

The AMA is divided into 11 districts that serve the specific needs of modelers in those regions. NCRCC is located within AMA’s District 1. (District 1 serves modelers throughout New England.)
